The Summit Vision

Mainstream schools suffer from time constraints, large class sizes and little specialist knowledge to implement a neurodiverse-friendly approach. Children with explicit learning needs too often don't get the chance to demonstrate their unique strengths and abilities.

We blend internationally recognised research-based practices with our unique forward-thinking curriculum, where your child becomes empowered to find their authentic selves, their own imagined place in this new world, and the remarkable difference that they can make, if they are encouraged to believe.

Founder Rebecca Elias

"We have developed a robust curriculum and a culture of strength-based education to engage our unique student cohort. We understand that dyslexia is not simply about learning to read and spell. Some people may consider dyslexia a gift. However, before Summit, our students’ journeys of struggling to read, focus, stay in their chair, follow simple instructions, and being disciplined for behaviour outside of their control, felt to them more like a curse. Their first term is typically spent undoing years of shame and pain."

Our students are special

"I feel more relaxed at Summit because everybody has their advantages and disadvantages, so it doesn't make me feel dumb." Mason, aged 12.

"I used to cry everyday when I was going to school, but at Summit, I don't cry anymore." Grace, aged 12.

"We are all dyslexic here. Your dyslexia is part of you." Isaac, aged 9.

"We have been working with Summit for almost a term and my word, our daughter has come a long way since she started at the school."

"It’s a hard decision sending your child to a ‘special’ school, but now we’re out the other side, we realise how much our daughter needed the attention and environment that Summit Point offers."

"Her time at Summit gave our daughter the space and time to learn at her own pace, be recognised for her talents and participate in the running of the school."

"Graduating from Summit, our child is a confident learner and has a range of strategies which have helped her transition to high school."
