Summit Point School offers a unique learning opportunity for your neurodiverse child.
“Journeying together towards our Summit” describes our shared learning vision at SPS. Through identifying and embracing their personal challenges and working collaboratively, your child will finally begin to realise their extraordinary capabilities. This journey has never been an easy one for Specific Learning Differences (SLD) children, and Summit Point is so named in recognition of these challenges.
“It is not the mountain that we conquer, but ourselves.” Sir Edmund Hillary.
We are committed to the following objectives:
- Reignite the innate desire to learn.
- Teach a growth mindset.
- Foster passion to find out about the wider world.
- Develop self-belief to embrace their learning capabilities.
- Inspire the joy of language and reading.
Underlying this is the principle that education is not something that is ‘done to children’ but something that they themselves have created and have shared ownership of.
